Job Description and Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

SM1) Social Media Officer, (Number of post 4): iCog is looking to add a Social Media Manager whose main responsibility is to manage and execute social media campaigns and enhance the digital reputation of our company through a significant and continual audience growth and engagement. The Social Media Officer is expected to gain a thorough understanding of social media marketing, audience engagement, and partnering with clients to build social communities. He/she is expected to perform on the following duties and responsibilities.

  • Develop a social media strategy to build brand awareness
  • Oversee day-to-day management of social media posts on Twitter, YouTube, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, and other outlets
  • Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research the best ways to increase traffic
  • Via Google Analytics, monitor social media progress
  • Resolve customer issues through social media
  • Write copy for website, blog and social networks
  • Shoot (still and video + edit) content for our blog and social media

Qualification and Experience

It doesn't matter if you are still in college or are a high school dropout, if you are passionate about digital marketing, we want to hear from you. However, we expect you to demonostrate

  • Knowhow or experience of social media management experience
  • Excellent writing skills (In English and Amharic)
  • Excellent photograph and video shooting/editing skills (iMovie, Adobe Premiere etc)
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google Analytics

Languages: Communication in Excellent English and Amharic
