Here are five assignment questions and you are expected to choose only one and work on it. You have the right to choose in accord with your section and responsibility in iCog Labs or most importantly your desire, no pun intended.
Every Assignment must be submitted within 10 days of the class (in our case December 8, 2019). You can use Amharic or English, and this is not a writing test! Relax and rejoice, first, then don't worry about the style blah blah. I am interested in your ground braking ideas, not your texting skill, again no pun intended. This as a brainstorming exercise so please get as experimental and radical as possible as long us you back your proposition with the concepts and notions addressed in Week 1.
- Using the concept of relativity, write a brief marketing strategy for iCog Makers. Currently iMakers is selling paid five day workshop to Ethiopian Universities. For more information about iCog Makers and the workshop, contact kerima Ali.
- Using the concept of Desire, write a brief promotional strategy for Solve IT. Currently, iCog is going to launch Solve IT 2020 and the team is working to launch a promotional campaing. For detail about Solve IT and the promotional campaign, contact Gelila Kifle.
- Using everything you have learned in the class, write a pricing strategy for ACC. Currently, ACC is expanding in different high schools and as well on premise (iCog Labs) and the tream is recruiting parents. For more information about ACC, contact Hawi Birhanu
- In the introduction to Behavioral Economics, under the section “Irrational” Decision Making: The Example of the Psychology of Price", you have learnt marketers can manipulate price via a technique called Anchoring. Write a short anchoring technique to sell iCog Labs as a tech company to the government.
- Yuval Harari wrote the following in his exceptionally beautiful history book
“Ants and bees can also work together in huge numbers, but they do so in a very rigid manner and only with close relatives. Wolves and chimpanzees cooperate far more flexibly than ants, but they can do so only with small numbers of other individuals that they know intimately. Sapiens can cooperate in extremely flexible ways with countless numbers of strangers. That’s why Sapiens rule the world, whereas ants eat our leftovers and chimps are locked up in zoos and research laboratories.”
Which of our abilities (human) gave us the best upper-hand in the cooperation game compared to the other animals and why. Use his book to support your argument.
